Larabelles

Larabelles is a non-profit community making the world of PHP and Laravel development more accessible to people underrepresented due to their gender. I founded it in 2020 because that space didn't exist then, and I built it from scratch alongside a full-time career.

It has since grown into an international community, and it continues to shape how I think about inclusion, technical education, and what it means to belong in tech.

What we do

  • Elevating members — we highlight and promote the work of our members across platforms, helping their talents get recognised and celebrated.
  • Connecting globally — we connect members locally and internationally, turning conferences into familiar gatherings and building lasting friendships.
  • Sharing resources — we provide access to books, courses, and other resources so members can keep growing.

We regularly give away conference tickets to all major Laravel conferences to help members attend and connect with the wider community.
